The presentation of the smartphone with a flexible display from Samsung

At a conference for developers that Samsung holds annually, the company announced its first smartphone, equipped with a flexible display Infinity Flex. (Simultaneously with this event, Royole also presented its own development of a hybrid tablet and smartphone.)

How can this device attract buyers? Naturally, additional amenities for users who already in the near future will be able to purchase a new product.



The smartphone is equipped with two screens. The first is normal (used when the device is in the folded state), and the second is folding, which turns the novelty into a tablet in the unfolded state.

In the process of creating a new device, Samsung faced two significant problems. First of all, it was necessary to ensure the reliability associated with the numerous bends of the apparatus. The second problem - reducing the thickness of the smartphone in the folded state. Apparently, both tasks were successfully resolved by the company, although no stops at this stage are planned. In the future, it is planned to create expanding displays :)
