RE: FREE SBD - Music Competition #4
I am going to go with 'Everybody Knows' Concrete Blonde (originally by Leonard Cohen and covered by a million other people). But I reckon the Concrete Blonde version is the best cover, maybe even better than the original. https://open.spotify.com/track/5gGt5wrpCX9feJi8dToksN
I've gotta say Leonard Cohen's song writing is very good, i'll be interested to listen to it.
Yes, extremely talented and very underrated. A lot of people don't even realise that he wrote Hallelujah and attribute the song to Jeff Buckley.
Everyone from Suzanne Vega, Bob Seger, Elton John, Nick Cave and the The Pixes have covered his songs plus a whole lot more.
His voice is something strange and it suits certain songs but not many, I want it darker is a very good album and his voice adds to it. Incredibly underrated!
