COMMUNITY NEWS: EMPLOYING STEEMIANS SINCE JULY 2017
SPORTS REPORTERS HIRED!
This time last week - COMMUNITY NEWS posted an advertisement for enthusiastic Sports Journalists to join our team and write under the Community News banner. Advertisement post here...
Well we are thrilled to announce we have made two new appointments:
Cricket
Leading our cricket commentary for the upcoming season will be none other than Mr Cricket himself, @buggedout. Not only is this man a software developer and entrepreneur, he is seasoned cricket enthusiast who takes great pleasure in reporting on this Game of Kings.
See Buggedout's application post here.
Buggedout will now be posting at #communitynews as @cricketnews.
Rugby Union
When Nex, aka @simondocherty noticed that we had not included Rugby Union in our list of sports to cover, he sought to correct this oversight. And he most certainly has.
We are more very pleased to be able to add Rugby Union to the Community News Sports Department, with Nex engaged as our official reporter for the sport.
See Nex's application post here.
Nex, if you need a hand setting up a new account for your Rugby Union news - please let @sirknight know on Steemit.chat and he will help you out.
Paying our reporters
We aim to pay our reporters $2 per post to bring this sporting news to the communities of Steemit. Of course this sort of initiative takes Steem Power.
To ensure we have the Steem Power to pay our reporters and grow this employment initiative we have two sponsors who have agreed to assist. These are:
Our very own nerdy comedian and movie buff, the one, the only, @hanshotfirst; and,
The Filipino Community Builder and Steemit's #1 Promoter throughout South East Asia - a basketballer, an educator and a Steemit Witness - he is @surpassinggoogle! And one day we will!!
Between us we will be able to ensure that our reporters are fairly remunerated for their services to the Steemit Community; AND, create new and exciting employment opportunities.
Check us our at #communitynews.
We still have job openings for sports reporters - please refer you to last week's advertisement for further details.

Community News
Wow thanks for the opportunity guys and gals, really appreciate it.
I'll definitely get in contact with @sirknight this weekend if he is about . We have internet all going at the new house to so I plan on jumping onto discord too.
Once again thanks and if you have any constructive criticism about my articles, please don't hesitate to let me know. The aim is to provide a completely unbiased but exciting commentary
It was a great article Simon, but you may not want to go into so much detail going forward.
Our general reporting philosophies here at Community News are:
We keep this in the back of our mind when we report.
SirKnight will be around this weekend - from time to time. But he only has access to Steemit.chat on weekends.
Thanks for all your efforts mate - and congratulations on your move to your new home.
COMMUNITY NEWS
Oh ok thanks for the feedback, will take on board.
Well done SK.
It's great to see community news take off like this, a great initiative dude.
