The Single Step Project: Week 1 summary
Last week I introduced the Single Step Project to End Homelessness on this blog. The fundraiser will raise funds for Amarillo Housing First, an organization dedicated to provide permanent housing solutions. The idea is based on the old saying that the journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step.
By October 1, I plan to have logged the 1000 miles. To complete this, I need to walk about 25 miles a week. I am using Mapmywalk.com to log the miles, and rallyup.com for the fundraiser.
The week 1 summary is as follows:
Weather has, thus far, been good; today was the coldest day I've had to head out, at 33 degrees. My pace is a bit over 3 miles/hour; a pace I intend to improve over time.
