Linking communities on steemit! An opportunity for Steemsilvergold.
I had an interesting opportunity present itself that I wanted to introduce and discuss with everyone further.
If anyone's read a few of my blog's you'll know I'm all about community
I'm part of a few and kinda advice some others, nothing too formal, but I really love the community mindset here on steemit.
Introducing Crypto Empires
So recently an interesting and novel opportunity presented itself. @spiritualmax has been working with some others to form a new community called Crypto Empire. It's a new steemit community and although it has crypto in the title that's not really the main focus, it's more about just having another place here to get to each other and hang out.
It's still in the early stages but it has a very interesting concept called embassy's where other communities can have a place on their discord channel to hang out and network. (It also has a bit of role playing and empire building feel which is also fun) This is the real novel approach of bringing communities together, compared to the silo approach of other communities.
This is what really appealed to me and something I wanted to further discuss with the #steemsilvergold members. @spiritualmax reached out and asked if we wanted to have an embassy of our own. (it's mostly a dedicated channel on there discord to network), but it also sounds like there are other big plans in the works. I think it's a great way to network on a small scale and meet some new steemit members and I also feel it's great to be there from the start as the whole things grows and matures. It's not something everyone has to be part of but if a few guys are interested and curious it's pretty easy for him to set us up and we can see where it goes. So let me know in the comments.
If you guys want to read more about the crypto empire here's the intro post

I have checked out the welcome post and it looks very interesting.
As if now, im for it.
You know im all about #steemsilvergold and if's it an addition to our group that's cool. If it turns out something to take focus away from our group, ie members just using other group tags, then i would be against it.
that's 2 cent
Yeah I don't think it'll take away or become a focus. It's not much more than just a place some guys to explore if they wanna start exploring the wider world of steemit.
I'll get over and get signed up later thi evening and give it a good look through. I see @underground is a big part so i'll need to show my support :) Put in an application for #thealliance this morning as well buddy. Wish me luck :)
You'll be in the alliance man, no worries! Totally worth branching out a bit.
Hey Phil!
Thanks for bringing this forward.
I want to assure every member of the #steemsilvergold community that we do not want to "steal" focus from the community and we don't want you posting with our group tag at all - heck not even I do it.
What we do want is to give you more visibility.
Crypto Empire is all about having a hub where Steemians can find out about more communities, and join them if they are so inclined.
So we are more than happy if you "steal" our members, so no worries about being the other way around. You get new members and exposure, plus find out about other communities while we have your embassy and as such can present your community to people who may be interested in joining and have no idea it exists.
Cheers
Awesome man, thx for stopping by and sharing more about your community. I'll definitely be there with whatever support/help I can offer. Looking forward to it.
Glad to have you aboard Phil!
Hi. I just wanted to add that reading @phelimint's post the other day is what led me to the Crypto Empire!
I'm always looking for new things and groups to check out and learn about, I'm usually not so much into the networking thing (I'm an introvert), I'm more into acquiring knowledge and following what's going on with different cryptocurrencies and stuff.
Thank you @spiritualmax for creating the Crypto Empire and expanding my horizons a bit more.
The #steemsilvergold community has been really helpful to me for learning more about silver and using steemit in general. I probably would have quit using Steemit after the first month, and went back to using Reddit or Twitter, if they did not keep me engaged in this site. I think the communities here are what really make Steemit different and better than most other social networking sites. 👍
Im glad Phil and the #steemsilvergold community is what kept you on the game, and Im sure they are as well.
Hear this @phelimint, you're making a difference in people's lives :D
By the way man, your banner is ready, you can go get it :D
Cheers
Thanks!
Thanks man, It's great and encouraging to hear this feedback. I think with the potential of steem and blockchain technologies in generally finding this can of platform can truly be life changing.
Hi @phelimint, sounds like an interesting concept that is worth exploring. I too am all for community and networking. You can count me in to be involved, just let me know what plans you have and what the next steps are.
Yeah man, it's really not formal. I'd say watch the community updates from max, and explore the discord chat channel a bit
I realy have to go out of the house more so no thanks. But I wanted to share that #cervantes group organizes life meetings so in real life (cafe's/restaurants) in various countries. It is sponsored by a whitness if I am right. Amazing. They talk about the blockchain technology and steemit. etc . As I study Spanish I heard of this. @bpfalimentos reported on this.
Get out of the house? That's overrated... lol. I do agree this definitely can suck a lot of time. I'm stuck in at night anyways waiting for kids to cry or wake up, so it's great for me.
(you hear an engine rev and horn honk)
MEEP! MEEP!

"Hello! I'm @shadow3scalpel and with the help of my protege, @chairborne, we are actively assisting veterans, retirees and active servicemen and women here on Steemit. We feel it is our 'duty' to support each other. Any questions or comments you may have, simply respond to this comment, thank you!"
