POLITICS, RELIGION, AND ECONOMY. THREE TOOLS IN OUR SEARCH FOR SECURITY
When I was a teenager, I used to hang out a lot with my father every time he attended his political meetings.
His very good friend and family lawyer Mr. Arzola, had always a favorite phrase that would use almost every time they meet; “ ... we all come to this world to do three things: POLITICS, RELIGION, AND ECONOMY...”
I’m a grown up person now and I now can get some sense of those words. While we are in our physical bodies, these three things become tools in our daily struggle, on our way up to what we call success.
Even tho I don’t believe in success the way many people do, I can see my self now using these three concepts as I grew up. When you think about it, the execution of these three “ideas” give us a sense of self security;
1- POLITICS will make us feel secure in the social realm of the philosophical set-up of our society, politics is a mechanism that gives a voice to our point of view on how the interpretation of the many laws (politics) should be. Our manners, our talking and listening abilities, hand expressions and voice tonality get their exercise with the use of this tool; gaining recognition for it, or having others agree with you, is a great achievement.
2.- RELIGION is the most common one.
Because religion is an idea planted in our hearts and minds since we were children or infants in many cases. Let’s make it clear, we are only able to use this tool because of our parents, even tho our sense for devotion and praise is part of our nature.
Although most of us are misinformed about this tool, we all have something to say about religion which makes us come closer to one another, to create the biggest ideological faulted network in the world.
Doing (or practicing) religion allows us to express our inner voice, for billions of people, religion is the only channel to let out their spirituality, caring and protecting this channel becomes a quiet sacred duty and any attempt to penetrate that personal sphere becomes an act of aggression, which in some “religions”, the intruder or aggressor pays with his or her own life.
Politics and Religion can’t and will never go together due of the antagonistic complexity of their ideological content, they can only exist at a distance betting on the mutual respect that the people on each side can agree on.
3.- ECONOMY became the most feasible of all the three tools. Economy can live harmoniously with the other two, and the sense of security by practicing a good economy, is the most “valuable” and the most popular one of all because economy will give us the most “palpable” status that any good religion or a good political affiliations can provide. Usually, a successful religious person lives an economically stable life and it is the same case for a successful politician.
In the search for a personal economic stability, our parents load us with advice, they work hard so we can have a great education, their economy becomes ours eventually and eventually we’ll have to acquire our own to leave it to our children. What a cycle!
Economy is where most of our lives get wasted on trying to make it bigger and better.
I will not get into “the way we should live your lives” crap. By now, information is everything, the awakening of our minds is inevitable and we are all in the path of THE NEXT BIG CHANGE. What will this be?, it’s up to us to find out.
Don’t remain ignorant, inform your self and spread the word that INFORMATION IS FINALLY HERE AND IT’S FREE OF CHARGE 😊

Excellent post friend that leads us to reflect on what we have lived so far, and if it is very complex to add these three tools, which in general will place us in the context of life. In spite of this, sometimes it becomes politicized even the acts of everyday life in aspects such as friendship, family or even social relations, or in the way of doing things. Religion as well commented on us as children and most of us grow together with this belief, and in the economy I think we are all involved because in our case, it is the shortage that has led us to use this tool that arises from unlimited human needs, while economic resources are limited. I liked this post which I share. Greetings @melip
Thank you Perla.
The economic crisis that is devastating lots of countries becomes a local issue on the wide spectrum of what I wanted to emphasize; Politics, Religion, and Economy are just tools that we unconsciously use in our daily life, they don't define who we are, only what we do.
When we focus on our "local" current situations, the immense array of limitless possibilities are still waiting for us somewhere else. We can't live on if we keep being afraid of the invisible boundaries that someone said they drew to keep us captive of our own mind, we have to think beyond of where we are, even further of where we imagined being. The time is now. A change is coming and it is neither political, religious or economic, the question is:
ARE WE READY TO SEE IT?
Everything that we know so far is just tools to get us here, to help us jump to the next thing but they won't be part of it. Greetings!
This topic gives a lot to learn and reflect, and it is excellent, and as you say, I think we are not ready to see them yet, and it is very true that we are still afraid of invisible limits, we must work on overcoming nonexistent fears, I am open to learning despite being in old age I try to keep going @melip
😊 old age is just an idea. The Sun is many billion years old and it is still the baby in our galaxy 😊
Thanks for the compliment. @melip
