Think about what self-regulation and de-centralized mean, and that it works well for you: You now get enough upvotes (on those comments alone), not only evening out some downvotes, but even making it a profit.
I would try to get to the point where you find your own content great, and proceed from there. 'Not so great' posts with great rewards will be downvoted sometimes, and I think this is somehow fair, don't you agree?
Yes yet I am accused of copy paste and have a post flagged for having a few pennies on it...

Some obviously think so, others don't, so it works!
But I have to say that your average payout of 2-3$ makes me sad, as a producer of high quality content (in my niche).
Then you are part of the problem and are not hearing my point. You want steemit for you and nobody else, i want it to outgrow facebook
