President Duterte of the Philippines has had some loose lips again!

I recently read the following article -

"What do you really want? You cannot even occupy a barangay for 24 hours. Well, you're able to shoot somebody, kill civilians, kill soldiers for nothing. For nothing. Not even an ideology. There is actually none at all,”

No Ideology? None at all? What kind of a Duterte truth bomb is this one? Cant blame the fentanyl though because he doubles down giving this quote to rappler;

"It's an empty thing. There is no ideology except to destroy and kill”

THE NPA HAS NO IDEOLOGY!! Let that sink in for a moment!

The NPA has no ideology and Im also further intrigued by the casual acceptance of these accusations in each article. One journalist is focussed on the upcoming Peace Talks and the other is curiously pursuing an ISIS/NPA comparison.

The CCP-NDF-NPA is a complex organisation to understand at the best of times but this new truth bomb suggests that perhaps a review is required.

With this new perspective, Lets analyse a few recent NPA incidents, shall we?

"In Agusan del Norte, communist insurgents burned several equipment at an oil depot in Nasipit town on Wednesday. Emil Ibarra of the NPA Western Agusan Command said they were responsible for the attack as a punishment to Agumill Phils., a palm oil company, for expanding its plantations in Barangays Lawan-Lawan, Salaysayob and Tagbabacon."

All ideology aside = Exactly why then does Agumill Phils need to be punished?For expansion, for creating new jobs or for what exactly? What could be the purpose of this attack?

"Carpio claimed that the recent attacks by the NPA were acts of retaliation for the supposed refusal of the construction companies involved in the projects to succumb to extortion by the communist rebels"

All Ideology aside = Who is organising these so called “Rebels” to carry out such coordinated attacks? Who negotiates with the construction companies? Who collects the money?When they get money from extortion do they divided it up equally or where does it go?

"The leader of the New People’s Army (NPA) Bulacan chapter was alleged to be the one behind the kidnapping of Raziel Bungay in Laguna in December 2017”

All ideology aside = Who really orders the local NPA chapter to carry out Kidnap for ransom activities? And where does the ransom money really go?

Use the new perspective to also consider the frequent attacks that rebels carry out against the military, PNP and the Cafgy.
Whats the purpose for these? Power/Influence?

Duterte says outright that the group is not revolutionary and they are nothing more than a bunch of robots, unable to think. So what is the true purpose of the NPA and from whom do they take their orders?

Crimes previously validated by ideology, now become just, Crimes, nothing more and nothing less. Just senseless acts for the sake of profit, power and influence.

I think it is safe to assume the following about the person/entity giving orders to the rebel groups:
They absolutely dislike the Armed Forces of the Philippines
They absolutely dislike the Philippine National Police
They view Politicians with absolute distain and suspician
They have no respect for the property of a person/business/corporation.
They have an inherent desire for control and power.

One must also then consider how powerful and influential this person may be.
