Calzone Recipe for Cheese, Egg and Ham
For 4 people:
200 grs. of cooked ham
200 gr. of cheese
4 eggs
chopped basil
Salt
parsley
- For the mass:
250 grs. Of flour
15 grs. of pressed yeast
150 ml. of warm water
2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
1 pinch of salt
To learn how to make the pizza dough calzone:
Sift the flour and the yeast over a large bowl. Add a little water, tablespoons of oil and a pinch of salt. Knead by hand (6-8 minutes) until you get a ball. Cover with a cloth and let it ferment for 30 minutes.
Cut it in half, take a portion, add a little flour and stretch it with a rolling pin until it is very thin. Repeat the operation with the other piece. Cut 2 large circumferences, using a plate as a guide.
For the filling of the calzone pizza:
Chop the ham and cheese, peel the tomato and cut it into slices. Fill the dough (half to one side) with half the ham, some slices of tomato, some pieces of cheese and a couple of eggs. Season and sprinkle with a little basil.
Spread the edges with a little water and seal them like empanadillas. Sprinkle with a little flour and put in the oven at 220 ° C for 18 minutes. Serve and garnish with some branches of parsley.
