Who or what is Carnage? #2
The symbiotes always take over and strengthen the qualities of their hosts and have a very special relationship to their very first hosts. The fact that this new born symbiote out of Venom has now been left to the psychopathic Cletus Kasady created Carnage, the most brutal member of the Venom bloodline to date.
The new symbiote in connection with the psychopathic Cletus Kasady also escaped and the host and the killer still liked each other. Over the coming months, Carnage roamed the country and randomly murdered repulsive and brutal most of the people he met, leaving Carnage Rules written in blood at the crime scenes each time.
It doesn't take long for Spiderman to come to terms with this monstrosity and the first meeting didn't go so well for him. Carnage beats Spiderman very easily. Then Spiderman realized that this creature had to come from the same origin as Venom, so he went to him and the former arch enemies acted together to take action against the murderer. But Spiderman doesn't miss the chance to catch two of his biggest enemies. So he used loud sound waves that could separate the symbiotes from the hosts and even kill them. Spiderman would defeat both, father Venom and son Carnage. At that moment it seemed that Spiderman's plan had worked and the symbiotes seemed to have been killed.
Well, that was absolutely not the case. The creatures can always leave a small part of themselves behind in the host and thus survive. Most of the time this happens at certain places in or on the body. Carnage, however, took it a step further and connected with the blood of Cletus Kasady as he saw him as the ultimate host. As a result, the serial killer was able to make a copy of his symbiote, when he carries his blood into the air.
Again Carnage went through New York, but this time with a whole bunch of bad guys, and they organized one murder party after another until they could be stopped again by Spiderman and other heroes. In some more actions the Carnage symbiote seemed to be killed but through this blood story, it came to light again and again, then murdered some people and then was defeated again and came again back through out of Cletus Kasady's blood and this story repeated itself many more. Cletus Kasady just needed a little bit of his blood, more was not necessary.
Several times the symbiote combined itself with other hosts like Norman Osborn, which led to the repulsive creation of the red goblin, who made a glider and grenades out of his own flesh. Or other enemies of Spiderman and each time the symbiote took some characteristics of the host with him but in the end he always returned to Cletus Kasady as he was his only true host. In contrast to other corrupted symbiotes, he didn't try to dominate his host but only helped them to develop their own skills and desires. The brutality, desasters and bloodbad, which you can also see in the Carnage comics, doesn't originate from the symbiote, but is solely generated by the host itself.
In addition to the horrible cruelties, there are the superhuman strengths that the symbiote gives its host Cletus Kasady. In connection with the symbiote, the host is able to carry over 80 tons of weight, has extreme stamina and endurance, and has a regenerative healing factor. In addition there is the genetic memory the symbiote has. He has all the memories of his father Venom and all the hosts Venom had and all the memories of all the 998 symbiotes from his bloodline and even their hosts. He is very agile, can climb up walls, has Spiderman similar abilities as for example the spider senses, but can also form razor-sharp weapons from his own body and has an extreme will to survive.
Carnage is driven by the bloodthirsty drive of madness that his very first host Cletus Kasady gave him. Carnage loved his first host - the symbiosis between the two was simply perfect. The concept behind Carnage, which fascinates one, is that people in their own psyche always hide their monsters and the question "What would happen, if you can give this monsters behind your own psyche some superabilities?" makes curiosity for more and lets carnage play his role in the Marvel universe so well.
Anyone who has seen the Venom movie will know that we will most likely see Carnage in the second part of the movie. It will take another year or two and the story is a bit different than in the comics, but I'm still curious to see him in full action. I'd even prefer a R-rated movie, but Sony didn't do that in the first Venom movie and so i think that we can forget the dream of a Carnage...
