Last weekend I visited the Soviet Memorial in Treptower Park in Berlin.
I have taken some pictures for you so you can get some impressions.

The Soviet Memorial in Treptower Park was built after the end of World War II.
The military council of the Soviet military administration in Germany had sponsored a competition in the fall of 1946 that explicitly solicited designs foregrounding the liberation from National Socialism, rather than the idea of victory.

Hallo ihr Lieben,

neulich habe ich den Treptower Park besucht und dabei dieses russische Denkmal entdeckt. Fand es ganz schön und wollte es einfach malo mit euch teilen :)

Das Sowjetische Ehrenmal im Treptower Park (auch Treptower Ehrenmal) ist eine Gedenkstätte im Treptower Park in Berlin. Die im Mai 1949 fertiggestellte Anlage wurde im Auftrag der sowjetischen Truppen errichtet, um die im Zweiten Weltkrieg gefallenen Soldaten der Roten Armee zu ehren. Über 7000 der in der Schlacht um Berlin gefallenen Soldaten sind hier bestattet.
