X-rated dragonflies - red monday #colourchallenge

We havent had much of a summer here in argyll, so when the sun is out we have to take advantage!

Sunday we decided to take a walk and explore nearby Knapdale Beaver Trail, located about 15 minutes along the beautiful Crinan Canal.

Beavers were reintroduced into Scotland last year after being made extinct in the wild, and they have thrived! While we didnt see any beavers, the trail is stunning and there was lots of wildlife to see.

These dragonflies were flitting around a very calm pond and while the pic of them is a bit risque, i actually took the photo for the gorgeous colours and the detail i could get while the bugs were still. A thing i never realised about dragons - they have a slightly furry look to the abdomen!
