Colour Challenge: Thursday Green - Cycas Revoluta
These plants are old enough to have looked dinosaurs in the eye.
(Okay, small ones - because they're relatively low-growing unless very aged!)
I love the intensity of the green in the new growth, and the consistent but some how still individual nature of each and every frond!
Beautiful! Do you have to sign up for this color challenge? I tried posting something but I don't think it got published.
No, don't think so. I know a few of mine have felt like they weren't published because they just got zero reaction/interaction.... but stick with it! It's a nice way to motivate a posting while (in my case) I'm finding my feet! I just add the 'colorchallenge' (US spelling of colour) and that seems to work.
great post, as usual!
Aw thank you for the support! Nice to start recognising names and faces of frequent fliers! : )
This plant is from the dinosaur-age, living fossil! Beautiful shot for green Thursday!
Thank you - and yes, the species at least. This actually plant my not be quite so old... I felt it a bit rude to ask her! : )
Nice radial pattern like a sunburst.
It had a pleasing mathematical chaos to it, doesn't it?
Some kinda of a palms? 🌴
Think so... it just doesn't get very very tall!
Yeah, thats what i thought :)
Anyways, liked it .
Thanks.
Lovely!
Thank you
You're welcome
Very nice green.
It is isn't it? Properly refreshing :)
Very nice!
Thank you - I'm not as nifty with the camera as you appear to be, but I'm trying stuff - and loving the whole 'macro' vibe. Though haven't actually used a macro-lens just shoved my smarthphone a darn sight closer than I would previously have done! haha.
Worked out great! :-)
Wow! That's a great shot! :D Lovely green...
Thank you - it's a proper zinging-with-health verdant green isn't it? I think that's what drew me to it.
It would me too! :)
Really beautiful capture of that Sago Palm. The verdant green is there to handle the intense sun usually in the areas where you normally find these impressively strong and heat tolerant plants.
