Color Challenge - Thursday Green - Australian Lorikeet
Thursday is green in the color challenge, so today I have for you the beautiful green feathers of a rainbow lorikeet:
Rainbow lorikeets arrived in full force during our stay at Huskisson. There was a permanent caravan on site, and the resident had a bird feeder out the front. We were woken up by the loud squawking of hundreds of birds in a feeding frenzy.
They were so tame that you could hand feed them bird seed:

It had been a wet night, so the lorikeets were preening each other to make themselves beautiful again.
