Riga

Riga is the capital and largest city of Latvia. With 641,481 inhabitants (2016), it is also the largest city in the three Baltic states, home to one third of Latvia's population and one tenth of the three Baltic states' combined population. The city lies on the Gulf of Riga, at the mouth of the Daugava.

This city of 700,000 has enough to keep you busy for days, but it’s also compact enough for easy daytrips to the beautiful Latvian countryside.

A Nordic blonde with a fiery heart, there’s much more to Riga than meets the eye.

Like all northerners, it is quiet and reserved on the outside, but there is some powerful chemistry going on inside its hip bars, modern art centres, and in the kitchens of its cool experimental restaurants.
