I bet it smalls lovely!Just yesterday my husband and I visited Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island, near us in Florida and found a gift shop that sold everything you can think of that's made of lavender. Oh, it smelled nice in there! It reminded me of my grandmother's house!
It's too hot for it to really thrive here, but I will try again sometime.
They used to use it back in the old days in the wardrobes and clothing cupboards to keep everything smelling fresh. All you have to do is cut a few sprigs place them in the drawer and voila. Sweet lavender every time you go for your socks or unmentionables lol
My grandmother, and then my mother used to buy it from the gypsies who came door to door selling it. I have some lavender tea . It's pretty good!
