Basically, this is a sweet spot, because we don't what to crop the photo too much.
Why? If we crop the photo, we will lose quality - sharpness and the compositions of the photo, will lose it's "touch."
Getting closer with camera?!... We put the lens at risk! Not worth it...

Your photos are always so sharp and the detail is amazing. I don't know how many photos you take to get a shot like this but I would wish to be able to take just one that would be close to the quality that you're showing us :)

Are those worth anything or only proper flash is a flash?

It the end, I have one too and I made one myself. I use it for add light or color. ✌️ For macrophotos not bad.
