Color Challenge - Monday Red
Tulips are group of spring-blooming perennial plants. Tulips are usually large, showy and brightly colored, generally red, white or yellow. They often have a different coloured patch at the base of the petals internally.
There are about 75 species of tulips. The name "tulip" is derived from a Persian word for turban. Tulips were initially found from Southern Europe to Central Asia. Tulips are low maintenance plants. Here in United States we usually plant it on spring and last up to summer.
The meaning of tulips is basically perfect love . Like many flowers, different colors of tulips also often carry their own essence. Red tulips are most strongly associated with true love.
With all the thought and meanings of this flowers, it's not surprising that their popularity continues to live through.
