Wednesday Yellow (ColorChallenge) - One of my favourite bumblebee photos
This is one of my best bumblebee photos... and let me explain why I share it in my blog.
It is not about the content of the image itself. But what you can see in the image can give you hints of who I am. A person who loves nature and all animals. These days we have had an invasion of flies. They keep coming.. I can't kill flies either... I get them with my cookie box, and free them outside. But bees are special hard working and important creatures. And they need our help.
You have to use your imagination to create in your mind the scene of me running in the fields with the camera for some hours with a smile from ear to ear following this particular bumblebee on its adventures. What I think it is a perfect model :)
Also... Wednesday yellow challenge seems a perfect excuse to post it.
Here it is a detail of the dandelion flower from the bee's point of view. Delicious! :)

I am a big fan of the humble-bumble and I hope that colony collapse disorder does not see then wiped out...
That would be a real tragedy!
Mankind does love industry and building on green land, right? But at what cost do we need to encroach on the homes of so, so many other species?

Thank you again. When I see an animal, instead of seeing it as something I can kill, I see it as a wonder of the Universe. Imagine we discover a small bug on another planet. We would be amazed. But no.. it is just from Earth, like we are.... so it is just a simple bug. kill it. And that is what we do.. We know we are killing them. Directly and indirectly doesn't matter. The end result is the same. Mass extinction of wonders of the Universe. I'm sure this must be a very high level crime in laws from other more advanced civilizations in the Universe.

Summertime is not just about the warm weather but more importantly the life it brings forth. I love standing on my deck in the mornings and evenings and immersing myself in the sounds,sights, smells and activity all around.
So many sounds and sights I remember from my childhood that I don't experience anymore :(. We need to get serious about protecting nature.
The first photos were bad because it started flying as soon as I got close, but after many flowers later, I think it started to ignore me and let me take the photos :)
The trend is bearish for nature. It is common to forget nature when we are moving towards living more and more in big cities. Are we going to follow the trend? Or fight the trend? It is hard to fight the trend.. as you know. However it can return much bigger profits... if you survive ;)
Gorgeous little bee, Hector! I adore bees, and the thought of you taking these pictures is making me smile because I have done the same many times. Sometimes there is a little bit of a thrill, to be around a bunch of them in a field of flowers and not being stung. Makes me feel like a warrior. Of the gentle kind. Same kind you are : ) And @yidneth is. : )

They won't sting you because they know you are good.
The other day I filmed some bees that were having a bath and drinking... I was ... whaaaat are they doing? I think that was quite unique. I'll share it soon.
I can also imagine you with the camera out there... isn't a camera the best invention ever? hehe ;)
