Die #colorchallenge geht weiter, heute mit einer nützlichen Blume. Die Ringelblume (Calendula officinalis) darf im meinem Garten nicht fehlen, wegen ihrer entzündungshemmenden Wirkung und sie fördert die Bildung von Granulationsgewebe und damit die Wundheilung. Warum ?

Weil wir aus den getrockneten und zerkleinerten Blütenkörbchen eine Wundsalbe herstellen. Dazu brauchen wir zwei Zutaten: Calendula Blüten getrocknet vom Strauch gepflückt (oder getrocknet zu kaufen) und Vaseline. Im Netz gibt es viele Rezepte mit Bienenwachs, Olivenöl und Kokosöl da meine Frau Bienenwachs nicht so gut verträgt ist für uns das Rezept am besten geeignet. Wir lassen die Vaseline in einem Topf schmelzen und geben die Blüten dazu. Das Verhältnis von Vaseline zu Calendula sollte so sein das die Vaseline die Blüten grade so bedeckt. Wir erwärmen die Blüten auf ca. 80 Grad. Jetzt kann man die Mischung durch ein Mulltuch filtern. Die Döschen von der Vaseline eignen sich hervorragend als Behälter. Mein Sohn verwendet die Salbe gefühlt Täglich - mal hier eine schramme mal da das Knie aufgeschlagen. Die Salbe wirkt sehr gut ist billig in der Herstellung und vor allem ich weiß was drin ist.

Why?

Because we make an ointment from the dried and chopped flower baskets. We need two ingredients: Calendula flowers dried from the shrub picked (or dried to buy) and vaseline. In the net there are many recipes with beeswax, olive oil and coconut oil because my wife beeswax is not so well tolerated for us the recipe is most suitable. Let the vaseline melt in a pot and add the flowers. The ratio of vaseline to calendula should be such that the vaseline just covers the flowers. We warm the flowers to about 80 degrees. Now you can filter the mixture through a gauze. The jars of the Vaseline are ideal as containers. My son uses the ointment felt daily - times here a scratch times there the knee opened. The ointment works very well is cheap to make and above all I know what is in it.
