St. John's Wort - Hypericum perforatum
My rhubarb plants are surrounded by numerous stalks of St. John's Wort this year. It wasn't until I started photographing the flora around the farm that I actually identified the plant. Upon further investigation it appears that St. John's Wort is listed as a noxious weed in most of the western states. Washington state maintains the plant on its list of "Plants of concern" which means is is not mandated to remove but should be controlled to limit the continued spread.
I was quite happy to find St. John's Wort growing wild given it has medicinal properties, it just adds to the long list of medicinal plants native or naturalized to our farm.

I would love to see a full shot of St. Johns wort, I think there is some growing near an old farm house but can not be sure.
The best I can do is point you to sites since mine are all on the downhill slide to fall so the foliage is no longer distinguishable.
This one popped up on image search and closely resembles the growth habit of mine.

I like having it growing nearby. I just try to control the amount a little. I don't want it to get to the noxious weed stage. Besides it medicinal properties, it has a pretty flower. Just watch it doesn't choke out the rhubarb!
Interestingly I only noticed the St. John's Wort after I transplanted the rhubarb to this location. In my reading it seems it is not "super" spreading, but has the possibility to choke out other plants. The nice thing with the rhubarb is the leaves being so big that they push any other plants over and out of the way.
