Rains had subsided while thousands upon thousands of frogs had started their crescendo disguised as white noise among the tumbling waves rolling for kilometres onto the sands. A couple of ravens kept on having fly overs checking for the usual camper leaving foods here and there, expecting me to do the same… Local eagle families were having their last meal of the day as the tides reached this perfect point where crabs and fish come nearest tot he shores to feed on arthropods galore uplifted by the remaining of breakers that would send many surfers drooling for a night ride among bioluminescent algae bloom.

Leaving the comfort of the humble fire keeping me warm and cosy, I headed out of the wind protecting tree-line to the open spaces of this vast beach. Drizzled had stopped by then but the winds kept their cool humid infringing. as the sun reached its lower point on the arc, it poke through the thinning clouds to open a golden eye on the moment. Like a giant eyelid, the light pierced into the darkening hour illuminating the blues and the grey of a heartiness resembling the splendour of a welcoming home on a frigid winter night.

Across Dixon entrance, I kept my eyes peeled for some action above the Alaskan Prince of Wales Islands. Staring far in the distance, the horizon perfect line was broken by one iota, a small fishing boat was making its way to prolific grounds and seemed to be floating on the lower eyelid. Behind it, a giant golden sliver was opening its eye and the classic shot had reached its apex. A call from spirit asked me to wait till something would happen… As I am about to take the shot, I finally notice an eagle coming across the panorama, clicked on the angle that called my fancy et voilà!
