#ColorChallenge A Bright Red reflecting a Bright Day

On this Saturday, the color Red is at the center of the Color Challenge, and incidentally also at the center of the flower displaying its natural beauty on the photo I post today.

I choose to show you one of the many varieties of Coleus flowers, combining esthetic leaf shapes and a beautiful mix of colors, with a red heart at the core, dark purple coating and mint green edges. It's precisely because the color Red is mingling with other colors - and yet dominating the color mix - that its rich and powerful glow is emphasized.

Purple, which is the result you get by mixing Red and blue, offers a deeper, more vibrant shade to the whole view and contrasts with the bright Red Color, while green is merely the opposite of Red in the color wheel, and thus the best color to make Red stand out.

Coleus flowers are easily recognizable and widely popular as their foliage of many hues presents a real sight for sore eyes.

I noticed this plant in the middle of a bed of flowers, in a small park located on a street corner, on my way home. Flowers wherever I go, and I hope it will stay that way forever!
