Aloes are native to sub-Saharan Africa and are evergreen succulents with spiny leaves, arranged in rosettes. They flower every year during the winter months, their flowers are tubular and comes in clusters of bright yellow, orange or red.
Their flowers are filled with nectar and attracts pollinating birds and insects.
Aloes range from small plants to tall trees. They are a long-lived plant and the oldest is about 200 years old. They are easy to care for, Waterwise, and brighten up the dull winter landscapes.
They are ideal for landscapes, beds and rock gardens, and are also used in containers. They do best in warm dry climates.
