Helpful hints from our High Priest, just in case this is your own photo:

• Try to avoid out-of-focus stuff in the foreground;
• Try to avoid covering the main subject with out-of-focus stuff;
• Don't take or crop photos in such a way that bits that are vital to the photo are cut off, like hands;
• Make sure backgrounds aren't overexposed, as it distracts the eye away from the subject.
