About Mistborn: The final empire and my fascination with phantasy books

I have a friend that has been hammering my head for over 2 years with this book.
Finally last month I decided to read it.

I found it a little sluggish at the beginning, and somehow confusing. But as I advanced, it began to make sense.
The characters are very active, and you can think about them as real persons, with very strong personalities and threats. The story is fresh, especially all the “Allomancy” part, where you immerse yourself in an all new magic world, somehow different of what we are used to read with Tolkien, Le Guin, Rowling and even Rothfuss (Who I really REALLY like, but come on, just give us the last book!!).
It also has a big dose of religion (with the central question being what makes people thrive) and politics.

The plot twists leave you wanting to know more all the time, soooo I think I’ll keep reading the whole saga to see how everything develops

I'll leave with a quote I liked from this book:

“The right belief is like a good cloak, I think. If it fits you well, it keeps you warm and safe. The wrong fit however, can suffocate.”
― Brandon Sanderson, The Final Empire

Have you read this book? What book sagas do you liked the most?
Let me know in the comments ☺️

I think Marie still has his heart on the Harry Potter series.

In ancient Egypt, when a family cat died, all family members would shave their eyebrows as a sign of mourning.

That makes sense, I say, why not? LOL

Researchers believe the word “tabby” comes from Attabiyah, a neighborhood in Baghdad, Iraq. Tabbies got their name because their striped coats resembled the famous wavy patterns in the silk produced in this city.
