* ColorChallenge - Saturday - Indigo (Drumstick madness) *
For todays #colorchallenge.. Here's a picture of my favourite drumsticks at the moment. It's the Vater 2-4-5-1 drumsticks, which are Mike Johnstons signature sticks. If you don't know him, check him out.. he is a great drummer and an educator. This stick is between 5A and 5B, perfect for my playing.
Cool. How do you feel about using Vater sticks? I've always been a VicFirth guy and I'm always down with trying new stuff.
It's great. I've been using it for about 10 years now.. they haven't let me down yet. I've tried various models over the years and always found 5A to be a bit too thin and 5B to be a bit too thick for my hands. So, when I found this stick which is just between both of those models it was the perfect fit. I would recommend it.
Same thing happened to me here, I picked up a pair of Vicfirths Buddy Rich model and they are amazing, you should give them a try too.
I've actually already it tried it ages ago. Although its a good stick, didn't like the glossy texture on the outside.. kept slipping on my hand.
