Do It Yourself, Coffee Table
DIY Coffee Table
For a sleek and nifty design to give your living room the extra pop it needs;
Cut Boards
Cut 4 wooden boards for the length of 35”, Four for 31 ½” and one for 17 ¼”. Square cuts should be made with a chop saw for a nice and clean cut.
sourceAttachment of the Legs
On the end of the 31 ½” board of 2x2 drill pockets holes (2 in number) of 1-1/2” with a Kreg jig. When it’s done, to create a two-leg frame attach both legs and place the pocket holes on the outside so they can be hidden under the coffee table from under the table top. Glue can be used to strengthen and to attach the jointsFinishing and painting
Attach the further 31 ½” boards to the frames of the leg with the same procedure of hiding pocket holes on bottom and top. Paint the frame of the table with any colour of choice (preferably black, rustic brown or grey)
- Attachment of Table Top
Stain all the top sides of the tabletop boards and lay on a flat surface so as to position the frame on top. The table top is designed to overextend the frame by a quarter of an inch. Once that is done, use screws t firmly attach the frame from underside and the board of tabletop using two screws on each intersection of 2x2 on a 1x4 board. Like before, use glue on all joints.
