Rumah Kupi always be a nice place to have some espresso in Bireuen

Rumoh Kupi, is very similar to the name of a coffee shop in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Rumah Kopi. Its location is very strategic on the main road to go to Medan, North Sumatra. It is also in front of the ioffice of Indonesian Telecommunication of Bireuen. Rumoh Kupi is in the heart of our district.

Seven years ago, I tasted the espresso coffee at Rumah Kupi for the first time. I was si happy to have experience of sipping Espresso Coffee from the famous Gayo coffee beans at Rumoh Kupi. And I consider it The History of my life in having a cup of Espresso Coffee.

This is not excessive considering that at that time around the coffee shop, there were not many Coffee Stalls that provided Espresso in Aceh. Hurricane Espresso, as I call it in this post, only happened after the Espresso at Rumoh Kupi was sold in Bireuen.

Apparently, *Rumoh Kupi where I sipped Espresso seven years ago has changed a lot. From an ordinary (traditional) Wcoffee shop that was painted potluck, now has a modern view, and becoming a cozy one.

I am very happy to see Arbi visited our coffee shop for having some coffee. It used to not be like this place, huh? In the fasting mounth 2018, I did some interior changes, mainly the paint color, and installed the internet connwction (Wifi). I understand that customers come to coffee shop mostly young people who like to hang out in an cozy cafe. And Internet connection is their main need.

I have changed the tables and chairs to take part in another Coffee Shop in Bireuen. I think the service is better. And the price of Espresso Coffee here is still competitive, in fact only Rp. 6000 for Arabica, Rp. 8000 for PieBerry, Rp. 7000 for Long Berry, while King Gayo coffee is Rp. 12,000 per cup.

There are many types of Espresso in Rumoh Kupi; Pie Berry, Long Berry, Arabica Gayo, and King Gayo. Pie Berry is a single type of coffee bean of choice. The price is Rp. 7000 per cup. Long berries are more expensive.

Long Berry coffee beans whose seeds are somewhat larger than Pie Berry has another taste. The thickness is very good for those of us who want to stay up late watching football matches. While Arabica Gayo is an ordinary type of coffee bean, it is rather small compared to the two types of coffee beans above. The price is only Rp. 6000.

The customers of Rumoh Kupi are Civil Servants, they came to Rumah Kupi during lunch break. And in the morning around 07:00 until 09:00 am, Rumoh Kupi has a special customer, the members of the Bireuen police station. Before working, they always want to have a nice Espresso of Rumah Kupi.

The coffee shop which is visited by many customers from Banda Aceh who wants to go to Medan is open 24 hours. In addition to coffee and a variety of juices from fresh fruit, Rumoh Kupi has a very good menu of Fried Rice. The chef is Bang Nasir, a middle-aged man who has 20 years more experience cooking Fried Rice.

Some Steemians from Bireuen can meet me here at night, they should not be surprised to see a crowd of people lining up to buy Fried Rice at Rumoh Kupi.
