The battle of centralization vs. decentralization goes in the next round and i think it will be a neverending battle for freedom. Governments don't like to loose influence on something valuable like their lifestock, the people who work in their farms to feed them. But there is always hope and the blockchain technology is a strong contender to pure manual organizations by humans. It will disrupt many areas of our life in the long term, also of governments.
