Simple English Class (2) - Its and It's
Good day and welcome back to the second Simple English Class. Today I'm going to mention its and it's.
Majority of people have no problem pronouncing its and it's. The problem only arises when written procedure occur. The word it's, is an adjoining of it and is or has in certain cases.
Example of usage:
- It's raining now. (It is raining now.)
- It's got 8 legs. (It has got 8 legs.)
ITS (without the apostrophe)
Its is used to show possessive. Simple to say, if you can replace its with his or hers, then it's good to go.
Example of usage:
- Every product here have its expiry date.
- Guess its material.
- James have made its decision to fire Bond.
There are never ever right about ITS'. NEVER.
