Hong Kong Stunning Places #1 - 荔枝窩Lai Chi Wo: a reborn village
數星期前，我參加了荔枝窩的導賞團。荔枝窩原本是一條幾近荒廢了的客家村落，幾乎沒有人住，大部分原有的村民和業主都搬到市區居住，沒有再打理荔枝窩的村屋。但自去年的農業復耕計劃開始後，荒廢的農田重新長出農作物，村落有市集出售農作物，變得熱鬧起來。
Weeks ago, I joined a tour in Lai Chi Wo village. It was an abandoned Hakka village which almost all of the villagers left and lived downtown. A re-cultivation programme was launched last year to revitalize the community and the farmland. Crops are grown again on this land and there is a small market selling the local crops.
當日早上，我和朋友到馬料水的碼頭上船。
That day, my friends and I got aboard on a ship to Lai Chi Wo at Ma Liu Shui Pier.
經過一個半小時後，終於到達了荔枝窩的碼頭。來這裡的人絕對比我原本想的要多很多！當中大部分人都是來遠足的。
After one and a half hour, we arrived at the Lai Chi Wo pier. There were much more visitors than I expected, and most of them came to go hiking.

沿小路走數分鐘，便來到了荔枝窩村前的廣場。這裡有一個寺廟「天協宮」和學校，學校現在已有其他用途。
We arrived at the square of the village after walking for a few minutes along the trail. There were an old temple and an old school, which the school have already had a new function.
這是在旁邊的農田，很難想像這裡在短短兩年內由荒地變成了農田。
Hard to believe that the deserted land had been transformed into a farmland in just less than two years.
圍著農田的電網，用來防止野豬進入田裡偷吃。

回到村落裡面，這裡有家小餐廳，為來到的遊客預備午餐。吃完後，我們更幫忙洗了碗呢。
Back to the village, there was a little restaurant that prepared lunch for visitors. We washed the dishes afterwards.

以前有海盜襲擊村落，後方的一大片風水林，對防守整個村落有極大幫助。
There used to be pirates attacking the village. The extensive forest behind the village strengthened the defence of the village.

在離開前買了洛神花茶，吃了一碗豆腐花
I bought a bottle of roselle tea and a bowl of tofu pudding before leaving.
