A new Decentralised Media Platform has launched.
It's a new decentralised media platform that has its own cryptocurrency and works in a similar way to Steemit, but different in ways that you will find out once you've looked into it. One of the biggest differences is that the user will need to download software as opposed to Steemit, which you don't, so it does feels like more of a commitment. Just my personal feelings on it, but see for yourself.
They have their own Twitter account and they look really good and could be the next big thing. I understand that Google is banned in China and this could be a gateway into the Chinese market. I know the founder has big ambitions for DECENT and he's already talking about accessing China's version of Netflix?

My sincerest apologies, I will stick to English speaking countries. The reason I included 'cn' was because the DECENT platform was being discussed as a potential partner in the Chinese market. I am still learning and I've learnt that one must stick to their geographic language tag. Thanks for the advice and I upvoted you.

I do really hope they are beta testing, because in the end they want to do more than just a social platform like steemit. They want to create all kind of content platforms, for video, music, lyrics, novel with perfekt DRM. That's very ambitious and needs a lot of work. Icorating.com has them listed as risky+ right now. They have a great ideo, but no working product or a team that is well known etc. LBRY and Akasha could be great too. Akasha has some kind of beta ongoing on a testnet, but has at least something, you know what i mean? This is 2017 not 2013, you can't sell me ideas, i need more than that! Here is a small list from me to you ;) :
Some of them are just ideas too, but some of them have really reputable people and working beta software behind it.
I believe we differ in how we quantify what an idea is, but DECENT has gone way beyond the idea stage in my eyes, but I always say that everyone see's the world through different eyes based upon what they do know, and what they don't know.
Thanks for the list and there are so many of these start-ups popping up everywhere, it's hard to keep up with them all, but I'll look into those later.

I have known them for a while now. What i am essentially trying to say is that you need to look out for yourself. Don't buy into the hype unless you have really goooood reasons and don't hype anything until there is something substantial to hype. Here is another small tip from me:
