Qing Dynasty in "Unequal Treaty": 1 oz. Silver per Head Owed to Foreign Powers
Just before "The Last Emperor" was born China's Empress Dowager signed over a debt of 400 million oz. of silver to foreign powers: Austria-Hungary, Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, Russia, Spain, United States.
Last week, the Communist regime in China handed over an even greater amount of wealth to Russia.

In 1901 the Qing Dynasty was assigned an indemnity of 420 million taels silver by the Boxer Protocol. The Qing indemnity came to 1 oz per head of China's population. Recently, China just signed an agreement aiding Russia US$11B. At today's silver prices and a population of 1.3 billion, China's payout to Russia comes to over 15 oz silver per head.
