Wednesday, March 23, 2022, to be exact, there was a flood in our village, namely Peunayan Village, Nisam District, North Aceh Regency, Indonesia. A few days ago it was raining where we were. On this day at 17:00 wib river water began to overflow onto the land. I saw the river water starting to rise ashore and we were getting ready to lift our things to a safer place. After saving things to a slightly higher place then I saved the chicken animal to a higher place. I also didn't forget to take my motorbike to a place that was safe from the flood. After parking the motorbike in a safe place, I returned home to help the family who was lifting things.

The flood in our village was only about 0.5 meters. The flood in Peunayan village today was caused by the overflow of our village's river. Even though it is only 0.5 meters, we are still careful at times like this. It's not only in our village that there are floods in the Nisam District, North Aceh, as far as I know. There were several other villages that were also flooded, namely Blang Dalam Geunteng Village, Keude Amplah, Meunasah Meucat and several other villages.

In the flood disaster, the police and TNI soldiers also came to monitor the flood situation and help the families affected by the flood. Today's flood inundated almost 80% of the residents' houses that were flooded with different heights. Most of the people evacuated their vehicles to a safe place, namely in the hilly areas which are slightly higher.

1 hour later the water began to recede even though the water began to recede but we were still careful. Because natural disasters, floods can come at any time. I took the motorbike back to take home.

That's just a little report from me who was hit by the flood disaster today.
