Heatwave predicted for Cambodia

Northwestern provinces of Cambodia will face a heat wave this week, according to the new forecast shared by the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology.

The temperature in those provinces will rise up to 40-41 degrees Celsius from May 8 to 10 with a chance of rain.

From May 6 to 12 the temperature will vary between 25 and 41 degrees Celsius for the central lowland areas, from 24 to 37 degrees Celsius in the mountainous areas in the northeast, and from 25 to 36 degrees Celsius for the coastal areas.

The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology also called on the public to watch out for thunder and lightning. AKP
