Before the Flood - Why don't we care?
It once again was an eye opener.
The film reminded me of my favourite quote by Eleanor Roosevelt: "Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people." I asked myself: Why don't we care? We are constantly talking about people, what they are wearing, and how they look. It just does not make sense to me...
I love that Leonardo DiCaprio uses his voice to make a change. He even mentioned this topic in his Oscar speech the past year. This goes to show that he really cares.

that is a quote from socrates. i believe eleanor roosevelt added, "and alas there are those who talk about themselves." most talk about these other things due to being misled. for instance, if humans cause climate change, why is climate change happening on the other planets in the solar system?
we are polluting, there is no doubt. polluting the air, water, land, the genetics of our food, but climate change is something humans are not doing. if you are interested in some of the facts, i may be able to help. i'm not as charismatic as leonardo, but learning about this is what i do.
Could be, maybe it is, I guess we will never know for sure, but I still like the meaning behind the quote.
And thank you for your comment. I am not certain if I will be able to change sides ever in the future, but I would like to read about the facts that deny the climate change caused by humans.

there are links for each video. i started watching this over 5 years ago. i've done hundreds and maybe thousands of hours of research besides. i have come to love anything having to do with solar physics, it's fascinating.
there are many subjects that branch out from here, including the things that humans are actually doing to destroy our biosphere. if i can be of any help, let me know.
