Health is something that is very vital to human life, in addition to the needs of clothing, food and boards, because health is a means in achieving a happy life. The necessities of life that are available will not be useful and become bland if not accompanied by body health. Even Islam recommends to every sick Muslim to seek the expert and the deed is also worth the worship as ever spoken by the Prophet. "Repent, O God's servants, for Allah does not bring down a disease unless it has been decreased, besides one disease, that is old disease (dementia)." (HR.Ahmad, Ibn Hibban and Al-Hakim). Islam teaches the principles of health, cleanliness and purity of birth and mind. Between physical health and spiritual health is the unity of an integrated system, because physical and spiritual health is a prerequisite for the achievement of a prosperous life in the world and happiness in the afterlife.

The system of health in Islam is reflected in the teachings of the Shari'a that require the act of cleansing of dirt (unclean), from hadats and from the dirt of the hearts are all in a package of worship such as wudu ', bathing, praying and so forth. Good physical or spiritual health is the highest blessing and grace of God, possessions and titles are useless if physical and spiritual pain. Physical and spiritual healthy is the base of happiness and pleasure. Health is closely related to cleanliness. Someone will be healthy, if always clean life. Islam is a religion that teaches us to always keep clean. The element of hygiene is very visible when we are establishing a prayer service from our body (body), clothing, and the place must be pure (clean) from unclean. Therefore it would not be acceptable to pray a Muslim so that his body clean, clean clothes and the place used was clean. This does not include mandatory cleanliness of the entire body or limbs. This obligatory hygiene in Islam is done by bathing and ablution '.

Prophet Muhammad SAW strongly emphasize about the cleanliness of clothes, body, house, streets, dental hygiene, hands and head. Once there was a man coming to the Prophet, his hair and beard were unhappy, and then the Prophet hinted, as if to order his hair to be repaired, then the person then fixed it, and after that he returned again to the Prophet. The Prophet said: "Is not this better than he comes with his hair on his head foul-mouthed like shaitan?" (Narrated by Imam Malik) And the Prophet once saw a man with a very dirty head. The Prophet said: "Does this man not get something with which he can straighten his hair?" The Prophet once saw a man whose clothes were very dirty, so what the Prophet said: "Is this man not getting something to wash his clothes?" (Abu Dawud) And once there was a man coming to the Prophet, his clothes very disgusting, so the Prophet asked him: "Do you have any money?" The man replied: "Yes I have" The Prophet asked again. "Where did the money come from?" The man then replied: "Of every treasure that God gave me." So the Prophet said: "If Allah gives you treasure, then surely He (more pleased) witnessed His former blessings given to you and His former generosity." (HR An-Nasa'i)
