Which game is more addictive, Clash of Clans or Clash Royale?

Well, for me it will be always be Clash of Clans.

I am at experience level 80, Town Hall 8 with semi maxed base and semi maxed troops. I participate in wars regularly. Like one after the other. I am so obsessed and addicted to the game that if ever I get a one or two star on the attacks in war, my whole day does bad. I get frustrated and irritated. Wars are a big deal for me. The Clash of Clans app is on my home screen. My donations are above 30K. So yes, clearly for me Clash of Clans is more addictive.

Now about Clash Royale, I installed it a few weeks ago. I don't play that much. I am on exp level 3. I find it boring

But hey, in the initial stages (TH4-6) even COC was boring. So maybe when I get to higher levels on CR, I can decide if it is more addictive or not. But right now I think I have started to develop a taste for CR too.

Clash of Clans is FIVE TIMES as many monthly active users than Clash Royale.

I just looked at the monthly active users on AppRival for both games and you can see in the chart below that 5% of android users played Clash of Clans (orange) last month while around 1% played Clash Royale (green).

To put it in context, blue line shows Candy Crush reach, which is twice as big as Clash Royal but nowhere near Clash of Clans.

So Clash of Clans wins by any metric.

Clash of clans is addictive than Clash Royale.

Short term game - Clash Royale strategy application is very small, which requires you to analyze while attacking which kind of gets repetitive after a while.

Long term game - On the other hand, Clash of clans strategy implementation is relatively broader. Its pretty interesting when you try to attack your opponent. You have multiple combination to attack. So many things run through your mind at this point of time. It's not possible with clash Royale.

Both games are extremely addicting, but I believe in the end Clash of Clans wins.

Clash of Clans: a game that lasts you a long time due to the long gameplay time that comes from building a base. It requires you to keep upgrading so that you constantly get better at attacking and defending. As we all know, it takes a very long time to max everything out and that is a big factor. Of course Clash of Clans gameplay of attacking is extremely fun and never get old with the endless possibilites.

Clash Royale: at the moment, Clash Royale is not even close to having the amount of content Clash of Clans has. I can see how this game can be addicting seeing how battling is very fun and honestly doesn't get too old. However, I can see how someone might be able to completely "finish" the game and get to the last arena in a day if they wanted to. The addicting factor of this game comes from the card gimmick that requires you to constanly keep upgrading them in order to come out on top, and as we all know this takes along time.

Overall both games are very addicting and are fun in their own way however, at the moment Clash of Clans comes out on top for being the most addicting out of the two.

Hmm.Seems Interesting. Clash of clans and clash royale are both good strategy games being very addictive.Well COC is a time consuming game bit it doesn't actually needs that much attention and time to progress.Clash Royale is a game which actually needs time for the progress and wastes a lot of time and also fills players with anger(if they lose to someone). COC is not dependant on luck and thereby what we do,that's we get but Clash royale is a game of luck and for example if we want a legendary card and don't get it,we will be encouraged to play more as the card will be our goal which we want. So I will tell that Clash royale is more addictive than COC in terms of time usage as doing 10 battles in Clash royale is equal to 35 to 40 mins of time wastage. I also realized it and have stopped playing Clash royale. From my side I will say that both Clash Royale and COC are good games but Clash royale is time consuming. Hope it helps!!

It depends on the individual, if your the type to like starting things from scratch and building up things in real time you will find CoC more addictive. But if you lets say lack the patience of waiting for troops to finish training, items to upgrade then you will find CR more addictive.

CR is instant so many will find they're playing it more than CoC. But personally for me as a CoC players, I will always be addicted to CoC more than CR just in the sense that, I have a base to look at which I've spent my time on (sometimes I cry, all that time) whereas with CR I battle and I am done.

Well , I think Clash of Clans is more addictive .

Cause :

COC has two chat options , one is global where you can get tips , chat with them , get some people join you , know about their countries etc.
You have a base where you decide what to do or not .
You have to train troops , raid bases , get elixir , get gold etc.
You have your own way of playing .

Difference :

Every player goes through same situations . eg : Barbarian bowl etc.
You dont have a base which feels like shit , like you can judge people from their bases . Like he is a hopper , he does'nt care about COC .
These are the main points you dont have global chat which also feels like shit . Imagine I start a clan , no one will join cause they dont know where to join and how.
Some cards are so rare and epic that if you try throughout your life , you will bot get them , and you know there is no system about the chests , like I get the score 0 - 3 , I get silver chest .I feel like shit .

COC is a better game .

Your choice which you like .

CR wins because you actually PLAY clash Royale. COC you just wait and play. Because you want the cool card and legendary, that MOTIVATES you to play CR so you collect em all!

Well you'll find different answer on this question. This actually depends on player's opinion.

Clash Royale is much more fast paced, less time demanding game. Where as Clash of clans is more much more time demanding and slow paced in comparison with Clash Royale.

Clash Royale will need your own style after a certain trophy amount but there's nothing like that on CoC, only troop lvl matters. So everyone will not find Clash Royale addictive because everyone can't make good progress there.

In a line, Clash of clans will stay on top but the truth is Clash Royale is much better.

Clash of clans is a super addictive game,mark my words.. i have uninstalled this game about 10 times and each time,i reinstall, i play it more than ever..also,i played clash royale but some days later , i uninstalled it and not sad or feeling any need … same thing happened with my friends and by the way,we are level 10 clan named cobra army.. we all vowed to uninstall but secretly,all kept playing and now, we are back in playing wars.

I am a clasher and I found clash of clans more addictive than the latter . Maybe because of the clan war we get immersed too much into game . We get to know each other's strengths and weaknesses . A bond grows between your clanmates this won't make you leave you to quit clash of clans no matter how many times you think to stop playing .

Ok so where to start I think both are equally addictive but clash royale is more addictive, as it takes less time as compared to COC as you can directly battle by not being concerned about your troops are ready or not but once that losing streak starts you may tend to switch your game to COC.But in my opinion both are equally addictive , after all it's a supercell game!!

Both of the games are addictive at their place but according to me it's clash of clans because in clash royal you will start feeling bored after some time because there are nothing much to do in that game whereas in clash of clans there are a lot of things to do which keeps you busy. That's why I feel clash of clans more addictive.

Clash of royale is little bit borring while comparing with COC..
Battle field of clash of royale is worst ever I seen and also the way the troops deployed is worst...
