Business trip: Warsaw # 3

So, to get back on a trip to Warsaw. although I already wrote a review ... I had problems with the compiler. and now I write it from scratch.
The second day.

After the presentation, which is much earlier ended I went on a tour of the old town of Warsaw.

STARE MIASTO - The oldest district of Warsaw. It stretches along the shore of the Visle River and features the most important tourist attractions in the city. The center of the old town's main square (Plac Zamkowy), famous for its colored Baroque and Renaissance facades of houses, walls, tower Barbakan from the 16th century, the Cathedral of St. John and numerous medieval streets. In the streets seems to have stopped time, only bars and restaurants, many small stores indicate that you are in the present.

ZAMEK KROLEWSKI - The Royal Palace is a masterpiece of restoration. The palace dating to the 16th century was restored between 1970 and 1984, because the Germans destroyed, as well as the entire old part of Warsaw. In the old days the palace served as a session of the Polish-Lithuanian parliament. On the ground floor there are court rooms and parliamentarians, while on the first floor you can visit the royal apartment. It is especially nice to see the ballroom and its golden pillars. The castle today visits tourists for museums of stylish furniture, tapestries and porcelain.

Saxon Park (Ogrod Saski), which covers an area of 15.5 hectares and is the oldest public park in the city.
It was founded in the late 17th century and opened to the public in 1727, as one of the first public parks in the world, even before Versailles and other famous parks. It was originally designed as a baroque park of French style, and in the 19th century it was transformed into a romantic English-style park. It was destroyed during the Warsaw Uprising, and partially reconstructed after World War II. Along with the Saxon Park (the end of the Saxon Park and the beginning of the Pilsudsi Square) is the Tomb of an Unknown Soldier in Warsaw - a tomb and a monument dedicated to the soldiers who gave their lives to Poland.
