| Kalyazin is a small ancient city on the Volga. Unfortunately, most of the historic center is now under water. The city was sacrificed in the late 30-ies during the construction of the hydroelectric station and the creation of the Uglich water reservoir. Residents were resettled. | Калязин – маленький древний город на Волге. К сожалению, большая часть исторического центра сейчас находится под водой. Городом пожертвовали в конце 30-х годов при строительстве угличской ГЭС и создании угличского водохранилища. Жителей переселили. |
| Part of Kalyazin, from where the photo of the street, was on the high part of the coast and preserved. The city in this part consists of small houses that are not currently perceived as urban. And the streets are not asphalted here. From the Volga they preserved the ancient cobblestone, and above, as in the photo, just ground. | Часть Калязина, откуда фотография улицы, находилась на высокой части берега и сохранилась. Город в этой части состоит из небольших домов, которые сейчас не воспринимаются как городские. И улицы здесь не заасфальтированы. | We were very lucky that there was clear weather. Basically, everything has dried up after the rains.
