Increasing Concrete Jungle.
Global Changes to forests, farmlands, waterways and air are being driven by the need to provide food, water and shelter.
Land use has generally been considered as a local environmental issue, but it is becoming a global issue now. Urban areas have expanded in recent decades, accompanied by large increases in energy, water and land usage. The forests influence climate changes through physical, chemical and biological processes.
These changes in Land use have enabled humans to appropriate an increasing share of the planet's resources, but they also potentially undermine the capacity of ecosystems to sustain food production, maintain freshwater and regulate climate and air quality. High rates of deforestation are most commonly linked to population growth and poverty. The forests are destroyed for various reasons resulting to a change in the climate and increase in Concrete Jungle.
