We all dissociate some in order to cope within our day to day lives.
Yet it is beyond the pale when together, the very large medical community (a supposed educated group) cannot stop something so gauche as infant circumcision.
And we all make errors in judgment, too, but it takes a critical mass of committee-brains to codify those errors into such a harmful meme.
Infant circumcision is a trespass every time.
Christians I find to be the most culpable in their negligence, because their philosopher spoke so clearly against it. It would have been the single point of departure between the old religion and the new. But they turn him into Harry Potter (by faith), and all pontificating is for naught.
A primary review of developmental psychology (e.g. vis-a-vis Alice Miller) reveals Jesus as he was. And Jesus himself, among all his 'holding forth,' lands on the subject of infant circumcision enough to draw it out, without any doubt.
