Flatliners, 2017
A fallen autumn is coming with the release of Flatliners, sequel to the 1990 film (by Joel Schumacher), directed by Niels Arden Oplev and distributed by Warner Bros. Entertainment.
With the screenplay by Ben Ripley (The Eighth Note, 2014), the novel tells of five medical students gathering in a lab in the basement of the faculty and organizing, taking part, an extreme experiment to investigate the afterlife dimension. The experiment consists of stopping heart of each one in turn for a few minutes, so as to cause a premature condition. Consequences for their awakening, however, will be dramatic and distressing, hallucinations of old memories and paranormal persecutions will be their punishment for having opened another dimension’s door.
The cast is made up of Ellen Page (Juno, 2007), Diego Luna (The Terminal, 2004), Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Diares), James Norton, Kierson Clemons, Charlotte McKinney, Beau Mirchoff Byers and Kiefer Sutherland who will play the same role as the first movie, namely Dr. Nelson Wright.
Exit in theaters on November 23rd.
