Ralph Breaks the Internet

I must admit, during the promotional campaign for the film, I was worried about the story of Ralph 2. We had been shown a lot of film material, previews, cameos that I would have, but the plot was uncertain and I thought it could become something very basic, and I thought the worst. Thanks Disney for keeping my mouth shut, and showing us one of the best animated films of the year. Maybe they've made it very confusing and not everyone understands it very well, nor do they fully appreciate it as it should be, but the way this film builds the world of the internet is totally magnificent. The ideas with which they built the body of the internet, is great, the jokes, the references, and even the criticisms. Not only does it look visually great, they also took the time to investigate in depth and gave a voice to the internet, giving importance to the good and the bad, without anything being saved. Of course, eBay is the only one that has an impact on the plot. But, the references to other sites are there in a perfect way, without having to take it to such an intense level, they only use it in a way to entertain the culture of the Internet, and it doesn't affect anything if you don't know some of the sites they refer to.

The best thing about how they honor the culture of the Internet is how they explore everything in a profound way and represent the Internet as a whole, with its flaws and virtues, showing the level that can entertain us, but also the extent to which it can bring out the worst in people, and that makes you feel really satisfied. But, the Internet doesn't make it central either, in spite of everything they keep concentrating on the story of Ralph and Vanelope. You can see how much time they have spent together and how their relationship has evolved and they represent them perfectly. The internet is a perfect visual point, yes, but after all this is not their story, it is the story of friendship and how it can become toxic depending on what someone says or does, and the internet is the ideal platform to represent this.

In the film, neither is more relevant than the other, both have the same weight in the story. Of course, now he obviously has less protagonism than he had in the first film, but it is understood, because they are only using Vanelope to take their story according to their dreams, while he reacts and adapts perfectly to his new role as co-star. And his story apart brings new characters, which work perfectly, like Jess or Shank, who I love his participation in the plot, but, this question makes them reduce the role of Felix and his wife. Don't misunderstand me, I understand why they did it, but I would have liked to see a lot more of them, because the few moments that appeared were really funny, like the whole movie itself.

My only problem with the film is something very minimal, which is reserved for a few moments, where the film becomes very basic. That is, they pause the story of Ralph and Vanelope to saturate with a moment of much internet, which, yes, as I said is perfectly constructed, but even so, moments like that of the princesses or the videos of Ralph only put them to fill the film with references, while the plot does not advance. But as I said, they were only in some moments, because at the moment they reconsider and continue with this to the same rhythm so entertaining that they took before. But, even so, Wifi Ralph is a beautiful movie, with a very nice message towards friendship, it is also very funny, and totally recommendable for anyone who wants to see the internet represented in a perfect way after all this time, while they give the message of Ralph and Vanelope, developing in a very funny and emotional way.
