I also have very fond memories of Christmas and making things. I did do my best to create a similar atmosphere when my kids were little, but now, I am not into it at all anymore.
I can totally relate.
I was a lot more into it in Florida, but then I not only had a lot of friends in town, but Marek's kids were there as well, though his daughter did move to Chicago before we left.
Though, as I said, my intention this year was to decorate, but then I got sick and said the heck with it. I just didn't have the energy.
