Homemade Christmas decorations (Eng/Ita)

Like every year Christmas comes to me here, time is a gentleman never late.

As a young boy I expected him perhaps more because the school was closed and we had vacations than for the true intrinsic meaning of advent.

I remember most of all that scent of fried donuts that flooded the whole house carefully prepared by my mother, perhaps a secret recipe because I didn't eat them so good anymore.

Now after many years I have a family of mine, a wife and two wonderful children and I relive Christmas through their eyes.

Like every year for some years, my wife in this period is prey to a proper and true raptus of home decorations. In fact from some boxes, kept in the attic for the rest of the year, he frees an enormous quantity of objects to embellish, according to him, the living room of his house.

There is practically no free centimeter left in the whole hall where there is no Christmas "air".

Obviously the tree and the crib cannot be missing in an Italian house.

Now let's move on to the wood-burning fireplace that this year is still off because we don't even notice it

The dining table cannot be left empty .....

Other furniture for other purposes

As there are some days to order everything, almost 80% of what is now present will be put back in the attic ..... it will be replaced, however, by everyday objects!

I sincerely hope that this "raptus" is not contagious
