WHO DO YOU PUT YOUR TRUST IN? 2

5 THIS is what the LORD says: “CURSED ARE THOSE WHO PUT THEIR TRUST IN MERE HUMANS, WHO RELY ON HUMAN STRENGTH AND TURN THEIR HEARTS AWAY FROM THE LORD .
6 THEY ARE LIKE STUNTED SHRUBS IN THE DESERT, with no hope for the future. They will live in the barren wilderness, in an uninhabited salty land.
7 “BUT BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO TRUST IN THE LORD AND HAVE MADE THE LORD THEIR HOPE AND CONFIDENCE.
8 THEY ARE LIKE TREES PLANTED ALONG A RIVERBANK, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. THEIR LEAVES STAY GREEN, AND THEY NEVER STOP PRODUCING FRUIT."
Jeremiah 17:5-8 (NLT)

• When you are in a need or having a problem, as a believer in Christ Jesus, let God choose whoever He wanted to use to meet the need or solve the problem.

• A Brother.
A brother in the church I once pastored was laid off in his work. He started to taxi his car—turn his private car to a commercial cab. Subsequently or afterwards he approached his elder brother for help, in order to start a business. The man said he was not going to help or assist him except he moves to their home town. This brother who is a believer decided to pack his things and relocated, went to his home Town on the basis of his elder brother's words. He even told me a lie, It was the wife who confided in my wife that her brother-in-law, the elder brother of her husband, said except they move to their home town he would not be able to help or assist them financially.
Now, this brother with his whole family moved to their home town, without the care to find out if It was the Will of God for them to do that or not.
AFTER a couple of weeks, before the elder brother fulfill his promise, he kicked the bucket—the elder brother died.

• When someone takes the place of God in another person's life, especially if the person in question is a devoted believer in Christ Jesus, such a person who wants to be the tiny God is endangering his or her life.

• It was that younger brother who killed the man, the elder brother who promised to help. The elder brother became another god for the younger brother. Just because the man, the elder brother, who made the promise was in money, the younger brother who is a believer and much more a worker in the church, did not bother to Ask from God whether He wanted him to move, or not, with his family and settle in his home town As at that time.
• God allowed the man, the elder brother, to die, because he had taken the place of God in the life of that younger brother who is a believer who supposed to rely and depend on, and put his trust in, God.
• God allowed that younger brother who is a Believer to be disappointed and be stranded in his village. Because As at the time, he had no Job and was financially trapped:
  5 THIS IS WHAT THE LORD SAYS: “BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN TO THOSE WHO PUT THEIR TRUST IN PEOPLE. BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN TO THOSE WHO DEPEND ON HUMAN STRENGTH. THAT IS BECAUSE THEY HAVE STOPPED TRUSTING THE LORD. 6 THEY ARE LIKE A BUSH IN A DESERT WHERE NO ONE LIVES. IT IS IN A HOT AND DRY LAND. IT IS IN BAD SOIL. THAT BUSH DOES NOT KNOW ABOUT THE GOOD THINGS THAT GOD CAN GIVE" (Jeremiah 17:5,6 Easy-to-Read Version).

• Considering what happened to the man, the elder brother, It could not have been God's Will for the younger brother to move to their home town. The man, the elder brother, caused him to leave the place where God wanted him to be, thus, God was severe in dealing with him. The man took the place of God in the life of his younger brother!

• If you, the person reading this, had a control manipulative spirit or witchcraft spirit, you like controlling other people contrary to their will, or God's plan, you would need to repent or change.
• If you casually taken over the control of the life of someone who is endeared to God, or assigned by Him, for a particular purpose, you may have a dirge to sing. Even if the person is your spouse, child, sibling, or whatever, allow God's Will!
• God had another plan for the younger brother. I want to believe there is probably a call of God on the younger brother's life, but the elder brother redirected his steps against or contrary to God's Will. That was why the punishment or Judgement was that severe!

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

• Should there be any ailment in your body as you read this piece, I declare your healing now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
• The hold is completely broken and the Affliction will never rise again in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. Ask that He will write your name in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).

• If you took the steps As highlighted above, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
