THE OMNIPOTENCY OF GOD
"SO THE LORD SPOKE TO THE FISH, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land."
Jonah 2:10 (NKJV)
Comment: There is no limit to God's power and greatness. He has authority over everything He created: "SO THE LORD SPOKE TO THE FISH, AND IT VOMITED JONAH ONTO DRY LAND" (Jonah 2:10 NKJV). This shows that everything has an ear to hear, either an animate or inanimate object. The fish has ears to hear, when God spoke, It heard Him, responded and obeyed.
God is omnipresent and omnipotent, His power and influence is everywhere. Jonah called on God in the belly of the fish, God heard him and answered his prayers (Jonah 2:1-7). Wherever you may find yourself; in a dungeon, a pit, a solitary place or wherever, endeavour to call on Him, He will surely not turn you down: " ‘CALL TO ME, AND I WILL ANSWER YOU, AND SHOW YOU GREAT AND MIGHTY THINGS, WHICH YOU DO NOT KNOW’ " (Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV).

You would not need to be in a special place, a particular location, before your prayer can be answered. Wherever you are If you had a relationship with God and your heart is connected with Him, you can go ahead and talk to Him, through the name of Jesus Christ, and you will surely access Him: "AT THAT TIME YOU WON'T NEED TO ASK ME [Jesus] FOR ANYTHING. I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, YOU WILL ASK THE FATHER DIRECTLY, AND HE WILL GRANT YOUR REQUEST BECAUSE YOU USE MY NAME [Jesus' name]" (John 16:23 NLT).
Some people do believe you had to be in a special place before you can pray and be answered by God. Jonah's prayer was offered in the belly of the whale 🐳, in the midst of the Sea, and God heard and answered him. If God did it for Jonah, a fugitive and unfaithful person, even in the old testament, He will surely answer your prayer also; If you come with a humble heart of faith.
If you had missed it, and repented, He will have mercy on you and give you another chance: "IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS, HE IS FAITHFUL AND JUST TO FORGIVE US OUR SINS AND TO CLEANSE US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS" (1 John 1:9 NKJV).
1 MY LITTLE CHILDREN, THESE THINGS I WRITE TO YOU, SO THAT YOU MAY NOT SIN. AND IF ANYONE SINS, WE HAVE AN ADVOCATE WITH THE FATHER, JESUS CHRIST THE RIGHTEOUS. 2 AND HE HIMSELF IS THE PROPITIATION [atoning sacrifice or appeasement] FOR OUR SINS, AND NOT FOR OURS ONLY BUT ALSO FOR THE WHOLE WORLD."
