"BUT SEEK THE KINGDOM OF GOD, and all these things shall be added to you."
Luke 12:31 (NKJV)

Comment: A believer's priority must be right. The Kingdom of God should be a major priority in any professed believer's life. When God and His Kingdom are not given the right place in a believer's heart, God's work or doings would also be minimal in the life of such a believer—God's involvement in such a believer's life would be limited.
Note: God's work or doing in a believer's life is not necessarily about material blessings. It not about money or how comfortable or materially blessed the person is alone, It goes beyond that.
There are issues beyond money, that If the person's spiritual life is not how it supposed to be, he or she might not be able to find solutions to such issues.

Seeking the Kingdom of God had to do with being passionate about your relationship and fellowship with God.
Some so-called believers do not even know what it means to be fellowshipping or having a communion with God.
Being a believer or a Christian goes beyond attending some of the Sunday and midweek services in your local church. It is mainly about you as an individual having one on one relationship and fellowship with God; communing with Him. Having the knowledge and the consciousness of God being with you wherever you go or wherever you are—being Acknowledged by you, having Him in your sleeping and waking thought.
If this is not there in your life, even If you claimed to be a believer in Christ Jesus, you are still carnal and you are just playing church—you are just being religious.
That does not mean you are not born-again, you are, If you had confessed Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10). However, your understanding of Him, God, would still be minimal or shallow.

It is in the place of communion or fellowship that you get to know God beyond the letter of the Bible—you would have the experiential knowledge or pratical knowledge of Him as being shared or written in the Bible.
It would no longer be the God you know because one preacher tells you about Him.
a. God would become the God you know firsthand, personally. And the Bible will come alive to you, It would be real to you—you would be enlightened (Hebrews 6:4,5).
b. You also would understand Who the Holy Spirit is—you would have the taste of heavenly gift (Hebrews 6:4).
c. The God would be the God you have tasted and had a rapport with. You would have the taste of the power of the age to come (Hebrews 6:5).
When a believer possessed or had these experiences, such is considered a mature believer. Albeit, the road to this level is: daily reading and studying of the Word of God, the Bible; praying and communing with God. Having a dialogue with God, asking and hearing from Him. At this level your goal would solely no longer be about the mundane, the material things—the passion for His work and Kingdom will be the topmost thing in your heart.
If you have not gotten to this level, you are still shallow and you are a baby believer. Irrespective of your material or financial status, the most important aspect of being a believer is what is being shared here.
You can be materially or financially balanced or comfortable but be shallow in the understanding of God.
Your pursuit as a believer should primarily be about seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and whatever other things needed would be added, as your priority is right.
If this aspect is not gotten yet, you are still far not from God and you are yet mature.
Peace.
